Originating in London, UK the business has expanded into the United States beginning in New Jersey and is currently based in Austin Texas. Here in Austin, the creative side of the business enjoys all that the young, culturally diverse, modern city has to offer.
Today, the three principals of the business, Alison Aiello CEO, Tony Aiello MD and Gordon K. Binns Sales Director, draw on a multifaceted talent base, allowing the business to grow in force and versatility. Each member of the team contributes to the melting pot of experiences while still allowing their individual strengths to shine. ABA has developed relationships far and wide, prizing a partnership with one of the finest grasscloth manufacturers in China. This partnership allows both companies to cherish the correlation between design and manufacturing, giving both the opportunity to work on acclaimed projects throughout the world.
With over 70 years of collective experience, the ABA team source and develop alternative and all natural products. The design process begins in the studio, often worked on by hand, and is developed through the imaginative collaboration of experimentation and long established methods of manufacturing and techniques. This vast spread of knowledge coupled with up-to-date research consistently results in the unusual and spectacular designs that ABA is known for.

ABA work in partnership with the plant in China creating handmade grasscloth wall coverings which are traditionally hand woven, breathable and all natural. Grasses are grown and harvested mostly locally and split and hand dyed in the factory using all natural dyes. Made to the highest quality specifications using the finest grade threads and only the best quality backing papers are used to produce a quality unrivaled by other mills. We pride ourselves on a standard which is accepted and expected throughout Europe and America as well as other over seas markets.Our work force is made up of highly skilled weavers and with a modern management in place helping to make overseas trade seamless and efficient.
Our creative design takes its inspiration from the natural beauty of the city and local countryside soaking up the strength of the individuals who echo such an understanding of all things natural in its making and colouration.
